The Petersen Automotive Museum’s free movie series is featuring “Where They Raced: Speed Demons in the City of Angels” this week. This documentary shows a Los Angeles that was decades ago, before freeways that looking like parking lots and there was an abundance of automotive innovation and racing. With hundreds of vintage photos, intriguing interviews, and rare archival films, this documentary will leave you wide eyed at how Los Angeles was once not jam packed. The screening will be preceded by a short presentation by writer/producer/director Harry Palenberg. Popcorn is included and Johnny Rockets will sell food and drinks, including milkshakes for a $1.
