Culver City’s newest restaurant, The Wallace ( 3833 Main St., Culver City; 310.202.6400), is serving up a new lunch and weekend brunch menu. Chef Michael Teich has created these two menus that will offer classic comfort food favorites and showcase fresh local ingredients. Kicking off with brunch this Saturday (10 am – 2:30 pm), The Wallace will offer pastries, sweets, skillets, salads and plates, while lunch will be offered during the week and will include items for the table, salads, sandwiches and plates. Craft beer, wine and cocktails will be available for both.
The brunch items include Sticky Bun with Caramel and Butter Roasted Pecans; Baked French Toast with Vanilla, Blueberries and Toasted Almonds; Chilaquiles with Roasted Chicken, Tortilla, Tomatillo Salsa and Queso Fresco; Toasted Cornbread with Cheddar, Chile and Honey Butter; Caramelized Pear Griddlecake with Bourbon and Brown Sugar Syrup; Brisket Hash with Roasted Peppers, Pumpkin and Potato; Benedict Tartine with Poached Eggs, Prosciutto, Gruyere, Frisee and Hollandaise
Lunch items include Baby Kale Salad with Radish, Carrot, Shaved Red Onion and Apple Cider Vinaigrette; Braised Brisket Sandwich with Red Cabbage, Horseradish Slaw and Smoked Gouda; Short Rib Burger with Bacon, Arugula, Caramelized Onion, Cheddar and Roasted Garlic Aioli; Farro Salad with Bloomsdale Spinach, Roasted Pumpkin, Cranberry and Pumpkin Seeds; Grilled Albacore and Bacon Sandwich; Truffle Chicken Salad Sandwich with Fennel, Red Flame Grapes and Candied Pecans; Papardelle with Roasted Mushrooms, Goat Cheese, Black Pepper and Pecorino; and Pacific Rock Fish Tacos Creamy Cabbage and Tomatillo Salsa.
