HomeState (4624 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90027) is a new breakfast and lunch cafe serving up food inspired by Central Texas. Texan, Briana Valdez moved from Austin to Los Angeles in 2000 and worked at Bouchon in Beverly Hills to learn the industry. Now, her home away from home is up and running with blue walls, white subway tiles, picnic benches, and Texas tchotchkes, designed by Jacquelyn Langberg. Consulting chef Alex Ageneau (The Royce) is in the kitchen, cooking up a Tex-Mex menu.
Open daily from 8 am-3 pm. Breakfast is served all day and lunch begins at 11 am.
