Flywheel, the mobile app that is changing the taxi industry by letting you hail, track and pay for a ride from a professionally licensed driver with a few taps on your phone, is kicking-off its first-ever holiday campaign to benefit the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Flywheel is committed to donating up to $25k in funds and services to this cause.
Here’s how it works:
Flywheel will donate their one dollar service fee from every ride for two weeks starting today in their primary three cities of operation: Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle
You will have the option to contribute an additional donation through a dedicated link in their ride receipt
Flywheel will donate one dollar for every new user who downloads the free app and registers between December 3-16
Flywheel drivers will pick up toys from local events & businesses and help bring them to donation centers. Businesses interested in working with Flywheel and Toys for Tots to donate toys in Los Angeles can contact Flywheel at ToysForTots@flywheel.com.
As a thank you to their users for supporting the cause, Flywheel will be operating Secret Santa Cabs on two consecutive weekend evenings which will be completely free for the lucky users who hail them via Flywheel
