Chef Daniel Shemtob started out a SoCal fusion vehicle, The Lime Truck, (and winner of Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race in 2011) and then he created Westwood’s fast casual TLT Food, and now he can add the Downtown market to his list. He opens his second TLT Food (225 W. 7th St., Los Angeles, 90014) location.
The new restaurant is about half the size of the Westwood location, but decked out in the brand’s signature lime green color. They have a quick service setup and a partnership with next-door Silo Vodka Bar because Shemtob’s Cali-Mexican-Asian fusion menu is now served there too. Brunch to launch at TLT and at Silo on September 15.
