2nd Annual Banana Festival: This festival takes place at the Port of Hueneme located adjacent to Oxnard. The event celebrates the Port’s import of bananas and includes live entertainment, waterside port tours, vendor marketplace, arts & crafts, auto pavilion, kids’ activities, recipe contests and so much more! Event parking and admission are free. September 28, 10 am-5 pm
18th Annual Multicultural Festival: The City of Oxnard celebrates the diverse cultures of the world during a day of music, food and entertainment in downtown Oxnard, Plaza Park. The free, annual festival includes savory cuisine, arts & crafts, kids’ activities and more. October 5, 10 am-7 pm
Oktoberfest: This event raises funds for the historic Oxnard Farm Park. Highlights include tours of the historical site, vendors, arts & crafts, music and silent auction. Free; October 6, noon-5 pm; Oxnard Farm Park
3rd Annual Pumpkin Fun Day: Celebrating the season as the weekly downtown Farmers’ Market showcases the fall harvest through pumpkin decorating contests, costume contests, pumpkin bowling, face painting, live music and BBQ. Free; October 24, 9:30 am-1 pm
18th Annual Farmers’ Market Pumpkin Fun Day: Didn’t get enough pumpkin fun? The Channel Islands Harbor is celebrating at their weekly Farmers’ Market. Join or watch the costume contest, pumpkin decorating contest, bowling contest and ‘pumpkin weight-guessing contest. The day also includes a BBQ, live music and more. Free; October 27, 10:30 am-1 pm
