Gluten-Free Mexican at Loteria Grill

Think you can’t do Mexican gluten-free? Think again. Loteria Grill has changed the game when it comes to eating Mexican food. They have a whole gluten-free menu that is delicious and won’t leave you feeling deprived. We feasted on a trio of ceviche including ceviche blanco (Pacific tilapia, finely sliced onion and fresh chile serrano), ceviche de camarón (Shrimp, mango, finely chopped onion, lime juice, virgin olive oil), and ceviche de la casa (Red snapper, tomato, lime juice, onion, pickled jalapeño, virgin olive oil). I also loved how they served their guac with jicama and cucumber. It was so refreshing and light. I absolutely loved it.

We also noshed on, everyone’s favorite, carne deshebrada tacos. It has tender braised, shredded beef, fresh guac, salsa, verde cruda, onion and cilantro. What I loved the most, is you can have any of their tacos in lettuce! It was honestly the first time I left a Mexican restaurant where I wasn’t grossly stuffed.

Another great gluten-free favorite is Chicharrón de queso, which is griddle-toasted Oaxaca and Jack cheese and fresh corn tortillas, guac, and salsa verde cruda. (pictured above, left). It’s literally fried cheese…who wouldn’t like that? Overall, I was amazing at the selection, variety, and how their food made me feel. I will be back and often for that guac and that lettuce wrap tacos! You can see the whole menu here.
