Malibu has a new gastropub, Duck Dive (29169 Heathercliff Rd., Malibu; 310.589.2200), that will soon be your new spot to go to after hitting the beach. Grab a spot on the patio of this casual place and order up Brussels & Belly, pork belly-infused croutons and crispy brussels sprouts covered by bacon-shallot vinaigrette; grilled salmon infused with blood-orange buerre blanc on top of broccoflower, kale and bell peppers; the bison BBQ burger topped with an onion ring, bourbon BBQ Sauce, bacon, Irish cheddar, tomato, house pickles on a pretzel bun; or duck dip au jus sliders (Duck confit, grilled kale, caramelized onion, bacon, Gruyere, Ciabatta, duck jus). For dessert, get the house-made strawberry-balsamic ice cream.
There is plenty going on here. Whether you are watching a game of tabletop shuffleboard or rocking out to the juke box, there is something for everyone.
