The recently opened Crossroads (8284 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, 90046; 323.782.9245) is now serving lunch. Daytime fare from chef and co-owner Tal Ronnen and Executive Chef Scot Jones include European-style sandwiches, all centered on Chef Tal’s exclusive Kite Hill vegan cheese line.
Crossroads’ new menu includes sandwiches, soups, salads and pastas for a casual lunch or for an outdoor picnic spread. Signatures, named after each key member of the Kite Hill culinary development team including Tal Ronnen, chief operating officer Jean Prevot, chef Monte Casino, and Dr. Pat Brown will include the Doc Brown with green olives, julienned pickled vegetables, basil aioli, and cassucio; the Full Monte with tomato jam, fresh basil, and cassucio; the Big Tal Cheese that includes “butter,” Persian cucumber, flake sea salt, and white alder cheese; and Le Prevot with cucumber, tomato, vegenaise, olive oil, pepper, and truffle dill cheese. Other menu items include a house-made pasta, soup of the day, snacks, and pastries, including a vegan croissant from pastry chef Serafina Magnussen, as well as favorites from the Crossroads dinner menu.
The bar menu continues to be curated by Jeremy Lake and will include locally sourced beverages like Spindrift, delicious craft beers, and specialty wines by the glass. In addition, you can purchase retail items at the counter including jams, pickles, marinara and Bolognese sauce, and Ronnen’s Kite Hill cheeses.
Lunch is Monday-Friday, 11:30 am-2:30 pm.
