LYFE Kitchen Grocery

Can frozen food be good? And good for you? Yes! Thanks to LYFE Kitchen. Their menu of frozen entrées come right out the pouch looking and tasting like they came out of a restaurant kitchen. They use natural, nutritious ingredients and chef-inspired recipes that are steam-cooked in their paper pouch.

I was lucky enough to try a few of their dishes (and have a few friends try the dishes). We all had the same reaction. Great food, that made our coworkers curious and always ask what we were eating. I liked that I knew what was in each dish including ingredients, the nutrition, and there are no artificial additives or preservatives.

We tried the Steel-Cut Oatmeal, Southwest Breakfast Wrap, Farmer’s Market Frittata, Chicken Chile Verde, Nine Grain Pilaf, and Orange Mango Chicken. Their food doesn’t only taste good, their doing good too. Their box is made out of 100% recycled paperboard with 75% post-consumer waste. Recycled paper saves trees, energy, water, and landfill space. Post-consumer recycled paper takes it one step further by capturing and reusing material that gets tossed in recycling bins every day. The pouch contains unbleached paper made from 20% pre-consumer waste. Unbleached paper leaves out the chlorine or chlorine derivatives normally used to bleach paper white. It reduces the amount of toxic and carcinogenic chemicals in our environment. Everything is printed with soy or waterless inks. Traditional printing methods use an enormous amount of energy, water and chemicals. The waterless and soy-based inks cut down on resources and reduce pollution.

Try a bite. Eating is believing.
