G&B Coffee (317 Broadway, Los Angeles, 90013) is officially open at Grand Central Market. (They started serving last Friday). The bar-style coffee spot, serves people without forming a line, unlike, well, any other coffee shop in the city.
They are serving pour-over specialty coffee using a Kalita wave brewer, espresso, and ice cream-coffee shakes. They’re featuring Heart Roasters from Portland, Ritual Coffee from San Francisco, and 49th Parallel from Vancouver, with a few picks from Intelligentsia soon. Ice cream is sourced from Strauss Creamery, but will eventually be by McConnell’s Ice Cream in Santa Barbara.
Pizza Baker is baking up and providing croissants, pain au chocolat, pretzels, ham & cheese croissants, and chocolate chip cookies. Sourdough toast and jam comes from Saving the Season’s Kevin West.
