Bill Chait’s replacement for Playa, Petty Cash Taqueria (7360 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles) is ready for its debut this Friday. With a chef from Baja, and cocktails by Julian Cox, the menu consists of Pig Ear Nachos, Cheesy Churros, Pork Ceviche, Chicharrones with pineapple-carrot hot sauce, and tacos ranging from octopus, duck gizzards, fish, potatoes or carne asada. There is also a ceviche bar with oysters, ceviche negro (sea bass, squid ink, mangos, peanuts), and even pork ceviche.
