Cho Oishi (6801 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, 90028), a new Americanized sushi and shabu shabu spot on the upper dining deck of the Hollywood & Highland complex has a 30-foot long sushi bar plus shabu shabu tables. The menu is full of dishes like gyoza, agedashi tofu, miso soup, seaweed salad, and specialty rolls with names such as Sex on the Moon (fried shrimp, eel, avocado, cream cheese, asparagus, smelt roe topped with fresh tuna, tempura flake, eel sauce, spicy mayo, scallion and caviar) and Snow White (spicy snow crab, avocado, smelt roe, asparagus topped with white tuna and spicy masago). Can they fit anything else is those rolls? Shabu shabu is served with Kobe beef, pork, seafood, chicken, and veggies.
