Badmaash (Hindi for bad-ass), is a new Indian gastropub that is soft opening downtown today (opening fully May 13). Right now owner Pawan Mahendro and his two sons are serving playful takes on Indian street food like curried pork belly, spicy lamb burgers, short rib samosas, chicken tikka masala poutine, tandoori-spiced chicken wings, chicken “bouillabaisse,” and spicy Indian chicken. There’s also fish & chips, masala fries, and more. The ” gastropub”, means they have 14 craft beers, Indian beers and imported sodas.
The two story spot has walls covered in purple, orange and sea foam, with flickering old Bollywood movies. It’s the perfect spot for a new kind of meal with friends. 108 West 2nd St., Los Angeles, CA, 90012
