Paichẽ, (Lincoln Blvd. & Maxella Ave. Marina Del Rey, 90292) the newest culinary venture from 2011 FOOD & WINE “Best New Chef” Ricardo Zarate and business partner Stephane Bombet, is opening tomorrow. Bringing its signature Peruvian izakaya cusine to Marina del Rey, Paichẽ is named for the prehistoric Amazonian fish which was rescued from extinction by the Peruvian people is featured throughout the menu. The seafood and ceviche-centric menu blends Japanese flavors and Peruvian ingredients.
The decor, color palette, and design installations throughout the space are inspired by oceanic themes. The 164 seat spot, (including 52 on the patio) has sliding doors span the restaurant, giving it a full inside/outside feel and the open kitchen gives an inviting atmosphere.
