I mentioned The Sirtaj Hotel a few weeks, but here is a little more insight on their restaurant, p.s. beverly hills (120 S Reeves Dr., Beverly Hills, CA 90212; 310.248.2402). This spot, that is mostly outdoors, is serving up elevated American food from one of the guys behind Beer Belly.
The constantly changing menu has dishes like “Mikey Likes It” fried chicken, with a crust made from breakfast cereal; pan-seared scallops with Brussels sprouts and applewood-smoked bacon; farm-fresh sandwiches; and hangar steak in a sauce made of Lagunitas IPA.
The drinks are equally creative. Try the “Early Blood”, that has Absolut Peppar, beets, agave, ginger, Thai basil and clove or the “Butcher’s Daughter” with bacon-simple-syrup. Scotch and a bacon-salt-rimmed.
