When I came across Hoopla Wines it was pretty apparent I needed to write about them. I was lucky enough to meet one of the owners, John, at a wine tasting and he sent me some amazing wines to taste and enjoy.
Hoopla is fun, unique wine and a life long ambition for experienced wine producer Spencer Hoopes and his team. Hoopla wines was the result of not worrying about “what sells”, and having fun throwing trends out the door. The result? They created 2011 Hoopla Chardonnay North Coast and 2010 Hoopla “The Mutt” Pure Napa Valley Red Wine that are unlike any other wines from that area.
Even though I am a red girl, the notes of apple and soft finish of the Chardonnay is delicious and a new favorite. Also full of fun, life with a non-conformist attitude, Dante– Spencer’s dog, graces the Hoopla label. This little pooch embodies the Hoopla spirit and you should too.
