Bollywood Bites (1051 Gayley Ave., Westwood; 310.403.1661) is a new Indian restaurant and from the Jackson’s former personal chef, Sanjay Patel. Here, you’ll find a popular New Delhi street food called Pav and it is served with two slices of airy Indian bread and a bowl of spicy minced meat (beef, chicken or lamb). It can be classified as an Indian sloppy joe and you should get it with Limca (Indian Sprite).
You can order up your Pav with a Pani Puri appetizer. It’s crisp pastry shells filled with chickpeas that you fill with tamarind water. The Kathi Roll (Indian burrito) is also a favorite. Here, the naan wrap can be made with paneer or tofu for the vegetarians. Any dish here can be made vegetarian.
