Mendocino Farms Opens New FIGat7th Location

Mendocino Farms, (735 S. Figueroa St., M1, Los Angeles (FIGat7th Center; cross street 7th) Los Angeles’ sandwich shop, opens the doors to its newest location within the FIGat7th center in Downtown on Tuesday, April 2. The new location will feature the familiar menu of sandwiches, salads, seasonal sides and soups. Designed by Poon Design, the space will feature natural elements with a refined flair in line with the concept’s ideology such as turf-covered benches, brasserie chalk-art, and an open kitchen showcasing fresh artisan breads and sandwich making.

The menu has a few newbies, including new spring sandwiches like Turkey Confit with Yellow Rooster Sauce with Sesame-Ginger Green Papaya Slaw, Picked Red Onions and Mendo’s “Krispies” on a Toasted Dolce Forno Scallion Roll; Mac N’ Cheese with Bacon Marmalade with Applewood Bacon, Smoked Gouda, and Steamed Kale on Panini Grilled Rustic White; and the Braised Lamb Shoulder with Mint Pesto topped with Herbes de Provence-marinated Drake Family Farm’s Goat Cheese, Balsamic Vinegar, Pickled Red Onions, and Scarborough Farm’s Arugula on Toasted Ciabatta.

To commemorate the opening, the restaurant will be hosting a Family Fun Day on Saturday, April 6, from 11 am-2 pm. The afternoon event will feature kid-friendly activities including a performance from Rhythm Child, face painting, a balloon artist, photobooth, and arts & crafts. Plus, kids eat free with the purchase of a sandwich or salad.
