Matthew Kenney, award-winning chef, author, entrepreneur, and founder of Matthew Kenney Culinary School and M.A.K.E. will open M.A.K.E. Out, an extension of Kenney’s commitment to innovative plant-based fare. This grab-and-go concept offers fresh juices and smoothies made daily based on seasonal ingredients sourced from the nearby Santa Monica Farmer’s Market.
The menu include juices like Spice-C with orange, pineapple, cilantro, jalapeno; Carrot Punch with carrots, apple, lemon, ginger, cayenne; and smoothies including Malted Chai with banana, dates, coconut meat, coconut water, cinnamon, maca; and Blue Bee with blueberries, banana, coconut water, bee pollen, hemp, and spirulina. Perfect for healthy Angelenos as well as those seeking a delicious snack while on the go, the menu will range from $2-12. Savory and sweet highlights include a variety of kale chips and house-made crackers like Seaweed Rye, Fennel Almond, and Zaatar Flax as well as gourmet raw dessert items like assorted Chocolate Truffles and Macaroons. M.A.K.E. Out will also be offering bottled supplements along with classic and specialty superfood shots like Wheatgrass and Energize with E3 live and orange juice. There are also foodie gifts like calendars featuring botanic iconography, t-shirts and books filled with Kenney’s gourmet recipes.
