Bar Amá

Bar Amá (118 W 4th St., Los Angeles, 90013; 213.687.8002) is a new rustic, Tex Mex, place hitting Downtown Los Angeles from Josef Centeno (Bäco Merca). He took inspiration from modernizes his San Antonio great-grandmother’s (The restaurant is named after her) cooking to create a space with a wood-fired grill that is ready to crank out some of the best fajitas in town. Also on the menu, appetizers  like polenta taquitos and Frito pies. Main courses include roasted goat cabrito, spicy mondongo soup and fried puffy tacos stuffed with carnitas drizzled in chile vinegar salsa. Wash it all down with Mexican beer, tequila and mezcal.
