Since the Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing pop-up was such a success, they are taking a permanent residency within Melrose’s boutique hotel, Palihotel as The Hart and The Hunter, (At Palihotel, 7950 Melrose, Mid-Wilshire; 323.327.9702). Get ready for breakfast on October 2 and dinner on October 4. The eatery is taking over the cafe area, with the addition of outdoor tables, turquoise tile, new art and another farm table.
The menu consists of rustic, seasonal country plates with a Southern flair and Cali beer and wine. The three-part menu breakdown includes:
Small Plates: ($5 and under) chicken cracklings & hot pepper vinegar; a bag of boiled peanuts; and assorted pickles.
Potted Provisions: These potbelly dishes are served with bread, include a ham hock rillette; a mushroom duxelle & gremolata; and marinated anchovies.
For The Table: Brussels sprouts and peanut salad with bacon sherry vinaigrette; charred chili chicken wings; chopped steak with bone marrow & grilled toast; and a massive seafood boil.
