Le Ka

Cathay Bank branch on 6th and Flower is now Le Ka, (800 W 6th St., Downtown; 213.688.3000). The only depositing you’ll be doing here is food and drink…into your mouth.

Decorated with golden lighting, wood floors, you’ll sip on specialty cocktails like the Mexican Bonfire, a new take on the margarita with house-smoked agave nectar and a cayenne rim. In addition to a Californian beer list, there is a 149 long wine list from Willamette to Loire Valleys, and an ’89 Cabernet from Bordeaux for $800. Maybe put that one in the safe?

Chef Rémi Lauvand brings a California American menu heavy in the meat category with a plethora of rabbit legs, duck rillettes, pigs’ trotters and octopus. There are dishes like Tuscan kale salad, skate with oxtail ragu and pork belly with congee.

Serving lunch, dinner and happy hour daily from 11:30 am-2 am.
