Nobu has met the beach at Nobu Malibu, (22706 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, 90265; 310.317.9140) a new spot serving up sushi and sake right on the sand.
This is the new Nobu Malibu that is bright, open, decorated in pine, white and teak. You can see the water from just about any seat. So grab one and order up sashimi and black cod with miso while you enjoy their big deck right on the sand. Don’t worry, you won;t get cold and I don’t mean our heat wave. They have a fireplace! Want more privacy? Head to their private room inside, through the indoor Japanese garden. Plus, its got its own little waterfall.
Either place you sit, chose from a menu of cold dishes like Bigeye Tuna or Scallop Spicy Miso Chips; Lobster Ceviche on Limestone Lettuce; Bigeye & Bluefin Toro Tartar with Caviar and Fluke Sashimi with Dried Red Miso & Yuzu Sauce. Hot dishes include “Anti-Cucho” Peruvian Style Spicy Chicken Skewers; Rock Shrimp Tempura with Ponzu or Creamy Spicy Sauce; King Crab Tempura with Amazu; Creamy Spicy Snow Crab; Shrimp with Lobster & Spicy Lemon Sauce and Australian Wagyu Beef.
