Laurel Hardware, (7984 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, 90046) is a former hardware store which has been converted into a restaurant with an industrial, country-store feel. Grab a spot on the white counter up front and order up small plates of American, farm-to-table fare. Or, head to the back for a spot in the big, sexy space with roomy booths, houndstooth lounge chairs, communal tables and wood floors from the Coney Island boardwalk. They are serving up lunch and dinner (eggplant pizza, soft-shell crab and grilled peaches). Going on a date? go further back to a hidden little courtyard and grab some Tuscan Sunsets (gin, lemon, Aperol, Thai basil and black peppercorn). Expect them to be open seven days a week; in a few weeks and an announcement about weekend brunch.
