Apollonia’s Pizzeria (5176 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, 90036; 323.937.2823) is Los Angeles’ new one-of-a-kind destination for artisan pizza and exquisite sausages (all in a former dingy Chinese fast food spot). Living in the Miracle Mile area, they offer artisan pizza, exotic sausage including the Dirty Agent (rattlesnake sausage with tomato, onion and garlic) and other tasty sausages like alligator & basil and duck & bacon.
But, it goes beyond the pizza here. Devour traditional pies, from pepperoni to a classic savory margherita to chicken tequila and Mexican chorizo to thin crust or even a gluten-free crust in a visually striking space including a 6 x 29 feet mural by renowned LA artist GRONK. They want to hit all your senses here.
Desserts from La Maison Du Pain will be coming in a few weeks, and they will file for a beer and wine license in about a year. Helpful hint, ask to try the off-the-menu special hot wings.
