Tortilla Republic, (616 N Robertson Blvd., West Hollywood, 90069; 310.657.9888) is now now soft-open in West Hollywood with tequila, guacamole and classic Mexican food. You can enjoy it all in the sun on the front patio or snag a spot under the rope chandelier that travels down the walls or by the huge tequila bottle shrine in the main room.
Order up a salsa tasting, duck confit tacos with sour cherry salsita, shrimp cakes with with corn salsa, some hibiscus flower enchiladas, a spiced, caramelized pork chop or a hamburgesa tortilla made with kobe beef. As for drinks, get something with tequila. Perhaps a margarita? They also have a Pisco Sour and a Moscow Mule. Officially open Tuesday.
