A few weeks back I posted about bottomless brunches, well normal brunches deserve love too. Here are some to hit up for you non-bottomless boozers:
Mohawk Bend
Enjoy a lazy day on one of the most picturesque patios in town. Order up the Huevos Divorciados: Fried eggs, chilaquiles, red & green salsas, queso fresco, and crème fraiche. Wash it all down with an extra spicy bloody mary. Meaning, ask for Hangar 1 Chipotle Vodka. 2141 W Sunset Blvd.; 213.483.2337
Caufield’s
Tucked away in the Thompson HotelFor brunch, order up the Brioche French Toast with Apple Compote! Want to make it extra sweet? Add a Bourbon Milkshake. 9360 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills; 310.273.1400
Bäco Mercat
As one of the buzziest eateries in town, for breakfast get the bäco, which includes egg, chorizo, and chiles. It’s pretty filling. So don’t make any lunch or dinner plans, for that matter. 408 S Main St.; 213.687.8808
Kitchen 24
This diner is no mom-and-pop joint. They have organic ingredients in dishes like a Mediterranean Tofu Scramble, Hash Brown Salmon Florentine and for the really hungry, the Bartender’s Banquet (Tortilla Wrapped Scramble of Bacon, Onions, Eggs, Sprouts, Salsa and Sour Cream with 1/2 Waffle, Strawberries and Whipped Cream). Order up! 1608 N Cahuenga Blvd.; 323.465.2424 or 8575 Santa Monica Blvd.
Milo and Olive
Early riser? This place opens at 7 am, 7 days a week. Get ready for some gourmet grub. They have House Made Meusli (mixed grains, apples, bananas, almonds, dates, raisins, yogurt) and wash it down with Candied Kumquat Sangria (white wine, Prosecco). They also have the longest list of bakery goods and breads in the city to soak up all that morning booze. 2723 Wilshire Blvd.; 310.453.6776
Cook’s County
They may be known for their fresh dinner, but don’t miss out on their brunch menu. They have braised short ribs hash and a brioche tart with applewood-smoked bacon and gruyere. And if you had a rough night and need some hair of the dog, they have an amazing selection of beer! 8009 Beverly Blvd.; 323.653.8009
