Abigaile Restaurant

Opening Monday, Abigaile’s (1301 Manhattan Ave., Hermosa Beach; 310.999.3508) is a new farm-to-table brasserie and brewery housed in a former church. Decorated with graffiti, they are serving up a large menu full of shared plates, like Rogue Creamery, blue cheese fried bacon with red wine-glazed onions and watercress; grilled escarole salad with creamy anchovy vinaigrette, olive-chili salsa & egg; and tomato sauce polenta “Nana Carmella’s Meatballs”. Ask nicely, they may do an entree size for you. Try the grilled double-cut pork chop with wild mushrooms, cippolinis, and bacon-marsala sauce; grilled flatiron steak with Parmesan mash and a brown butter-fried branzino with pancetta, creamed fennel, and pearl onions that were roasted.

They have house-brewed beer, with five options: dry-hopped pale ale, Canadian orange blossom ale, a double-pale, a brown sugar porter, and a vanilla-infused strong ale. Bottoms up!
