Demitasse, (135 S. San Pedro St., Los Angeles, 90012) a spot in Little Tokyo is set to soft open this Friday. They will have single-origin brews from NorCal’sEquator Coffees, Compartes chocolates, Cake Monkey pastries, Jin Patisserie cakes and cookies by Esther Kang of Batch from Scratch. The coffee will brew on a halogen siphon bar and using full-immersion brewers. Iced coffee to be prepared Kyoto-style (served in cold sake bottles to prevent dilution).
