UNION‘s Feast of the 7 Fishes
Chef and Co-Owner Bruce Kalman will offer a seven-course feast featuring traditional Italian-American fish and seafood delicacies on Christmas Eve at the neighborhood restaurant located in Pasadena. The festive prix-fixe menu includes: Chive Farinata with uni, lardo, pickled green garlic, and Urfa chile oil; Braised Octopus with chick pea conserva, preserved lemon yogurt, and dukkah; Cured Mackerel with sunchoke puree, baby artichokes, and Treviso; Cuttlefish Ink Lasagnette with bottarga and gremolata bread crumbs; Halibut Croquetas with fennel pannacotta, white truffle, and cured duck egg; Olive Oil Poached Sturgeon with potatoes, crème fraiche, and Passmore Ranch caviar; and Red Vermillion Rockfish with “Livronese,” cippolini onion, pine nuts, and golden raisins. Le Petit Paris’ Christmas Eve & Christmas Meals
The French brasserie in DTLA will be celebrating the holidays with a series of festive dinners and events. (They are also the official restaurant partner for the Amelie show at Ahmanson Theatre and will be offering a three-course Amelie-inspired menu and a complimentary shuttle service from the restaurant to the show until January 15, 2017). Christmas Eve will begin with an inviting brunch followed by an elegant three-course prix-fixe dinner created by Executive Chefs Baptiste Grellier and Jeremie Cazes. The regular brunch menu will be available on Christmas Eve. Dinner menu highlights include Filet Mignon with white mushrooms, mashed potatoes and chestnuts; Seabass Filet with lemongrass beurre blanc, celery purée and baby vegetables; and Bûche de Noël with guanaja chocolate mousse and bourbon vanilla ice cream for dessert. Michael’s On Naples will host its traditional Christmas Eve dinner with a five-course, prix fixe dinner. Sommelier Massimo Aronne, whose wine list was named among LA’s Top 10 Wine Lists by Gayot, has created pairings for the optimum dining experience.
