Ocean Prime

Ocean Prime (9595 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA; 310.859.4818) is an new elegant, large spot on Wilshire in Beverly Hills from Cameron Mitchell. Opening today, they are going to be your new mecca for surf & turf, along with wine, seafood and dry-aged prime steak. With Executive chef Matt Briggs and GM Stephen Cook in charge, you can expect delicious dishes in a a beautiful atmosphere.

Split into two sections that seat 350 people, one side has leather, black steel, glass and a sushi bar, with a dining room where you can order up that dry-aged prime steak and blackened snapper. The other side is a more intimate lounge with polished wood.

As for food, appetizers include Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli; Point Judith Calamari; Jumbo Lump Crab Cake; White Truffle Caviar Deviled Eggs; “ Surf n Turf” Sea Scallops, Slow Braised Short Ribs; and butter poached Dungeness Crab. Sushi includes Camden Roll (Tempura Shrimp, Cream Cheese, Scallion, Beef Carpaccio); Lobster Roll (Poached Lobster Tail, Kiwi, Pickled Jalapeño, Masago, Spicy Mango Purée); Osaka Stack* (Spicy Tuna, Nori, Avocado,
Wasabi Mayo); and Hamachi Crudo * (Seaweed Salad, Pickled Mango, Sesame Ginger Vinaigrette, Cilantro). There’s also a raw bar with Oysters, Colossal Shrimp, Crab Legs, and a “Smoking” Shellfish Tower.”

Entrées include Blackened Snapper; Teriyaki Salmon with Shiitake Sticky Rice; Yellowfin Tuna with Marble Potatoes, Fava Beans and Truffle Jus; King Salmon with Lobster, Gnocchi, Spring Peas, Lemon Jus; Sea Scallops with Parmesan Risotto, English Peas, Citrus Vinaigrette; and Chilean Sea Bass with Whipped Potatoes, Champagne Truffle Sauce. There is also chicken, chops and an array of steaks with options and sides including Black Truffle Butter, Maytag Blue Cheese Crust, Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Jalapeño Au Gratin, Parmesan Truffle Fries, Lobster Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Carrots, Creamed Spinach, roasted Brussels Sprouts, Sautéed Button Mushrooms, and Black Truffle Mac & Cheese.

Open Monday-Friday, 11:30 am-10:30 pm, Weekends, 5-11:30 pm, and happy hour, 4-7 pm on weekdays.
