Lunetta All Day Opens
Serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner, Lunetta All Day reimagines the American diner with refined comfort food, sharp design and warm service. A collaboration between partners Raphael Lunetta (JiRaffe) and Divide + Conquer, Inc.’s Daniel Weinstock and Mike Garrett transforms the Pico Boulevard space into an instant modern classic. The menu includes breakfast items around-the-clock like the breakfast sandwich made with a fried egg, bacon, aged white cheddar, cultured butter, and house made jam. There’s also a Savory Grain Bowl of wheat berries, freekeh, farro, marinated greens, blistered red onions, lemon-herb vinaigrette, pepita romesco and poached egg; Vanilla Bulgar & Freekeh Porridge topped with blueberries, turbinado, pecans and caramelized bananas; and Memela with native masa, mashed avocado, pickled red onions, tomatillo sauce, cotija and fried egg. Sandwiches and salads include the Raw Vegetable Sandwich with shaved fennel, cucumber, watermelon radish, tomato and tahini on a grilled baguette; Brassica Salad with fire-roasted cauliflower, romanesco, broccoli, red onions, parsley, kale, burrata and red wine vinaigrette; and house-roasted turkey, prime rib, pastrami and grilled fish round out the deli selections available. For dinner, a hearty array of choice meats and fish are available grilled, roasted or fried, mixing and matching Pasilla Negro-Rubbed Grilled Carnitas, Rotisserie Small-Eye Prime Rib, or Fried Jidori Chicken with a variety of sauces from marie rose to chimichurri. Burger City Grill Opens Third LA Location
The first 50 hungry customers will receive free burgers for a year (so get there early)! You  will also take home Burger City Grill swag with giveaways throughout the day. Simply straightforward and clean, the Burger City Grill menu consists of eight signature burgers, three homemade sides, free-style drinks from Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine, three flavors of shakes, as well as local craft beer and wine. Every burger is prepared with premium Certified Angus Beef that is between a fluffy signature brioche bun, which is baked using an exclusive B.C.G. recipe. Head to the intimate whiskey bar, located inside Playa del Rey’s four-in-once concept Playa Provisions. You are invited to sip and savor handpicked selections of Bowmore Whiskey by Brand Ambassador Roberto Loppi along with elevated bar food by the duo. MC Billy Harris’ “Hanging with Harris” Guest Chef Dinner Series
Culinary MC and fundraising auctioneer Billy Harris has a new dinner series Hanging with Harris, a lineup of eight intimate, multi-course dining events taking place throughout Los Angeles. Each Monday night dinner will begin with a cocktail reception hosted by a mixologist from the leading Scotch whisky distiller, William Grant & Sons, followed by a four-course seated dinner with wine pairings from each distinguished chef and a charity auction. A portion of ticket sales and all proceeds from the auction items will benefit four charities that are close to Harris’ heart: James Beard Foundation, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, No Kid Hungry, and PIGGY BANK. This week, experience Jason Neroni at Rose Cafe. Chef Jason Neroni (formerly of Superba) has kept the roots of the Rose that the community knows and loves, while introducing his seasonal, globally influenced cuisine. Union Partners with Silent Disco Company, HUSHconcerts
Chef/Owner Bruce Kalman and Owner Marie Petulla of UNION will set the stage for “Tasty Tunes,” a three-course prix fixe dinner and dessert paired with select music via wireless headphones, in partnership with silent disco production company HUSHconcerts. A talented and experienced musician in his own right and member of chef cover band Foie Grock (alongside Duff Goldman Francis Castagnetti, Ben Offenberg, and Jeff Liffmann), Bruce will curate a playlist that complements the flavors of the prix fixe dinner while emphasizing the intensity and dynamics of every song.
