Taste WBK Welcomes Talley Vineyards for its Monthly “Meet The Winemaker” Dinner
Celebrate the flavors of the Central Coast when Taste WBK welcomes Brian Talley of Talley Vineyards to its monthly “Meet the Winemaker Dinner.” Talley Vineyards has a ton of farming history and dates back to 1948 when patriarch Oliver Talley founded Talley Farms in the Arroyo Grande Valley.  The family planted its first grape vines in 1982, and Tally Vineyards produced its first wine 1986 yielding some 400 cases.  With Three generations of farming and fermenting Talley Vineyards produces approximately 36,000 cases of wine a year. The five-course, farm-to-fork menu, created by Executive Chef Brad Neumann includes wines selected by Sommelier Alicia Ajolo: Thai-Style Green Papaya Salad with Haricot Verts, Cherry Tomatoes, Grilled Avocado, and Thai-Lime Dressing paired with Bishops’ Peak 2014 Sauvignon Blanc; Roasted Zucchini “Lasagna” with house made Ricotta, Lemon Basil, and Butter Poached Crab Sauce paired with Talley Vineyards Estate 2013 Chardonnay; Roasted Rack of Lamb with Oven Dried Market Plums, Port-Sage Sauce, and Pistachio Scented Israeli Couscous paired with Stone Corral 2013 Pinot Noir; Black Pepper Crusted Venison with Spinach Pommes Puree, Juniper, and Red Wine & Pearl Onion Ragu paired with Bishop’s Peak 2013 Elevation Bordeaux Blend; and Talley Estate Grown Corn & Cream Cheese Cake with Sweet Basil Ice Cream & Chili Syrup paired with Bishop’s Peak 2012 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc. $85; Monday, 6:30 pm; 3506 E. Salazar Hosts First Boozy Agua Fresca & Raw Bar Night
Join Salazar for their first Agua Fresca night when they transform the restaurant and transport you under the sea. Beverage Director Aaron Melendrez is teaming up with acclaimed bartenders Kylee Van Dillen and Alex Strauss to create specialty drinks playing off the current Salazar featured agua fresca, Savila y Coco. The drink is served in a fish bowl glass and you can enjoy the shark gummy that comes in each. The exclusive libations being created just for this night will feature Bulldog Gin and La Niña del Mezcal. Summer France Wine Dinner at Tam O’Shanter
Tam O’Shanter is hosting a Summer in France wine dinner where you will embark on an incredible tour of exquisite French wines from several regions in France including 2014 Chateau Fage, Graves de Vayres, Gironde, Bordeaux, France; 2012 Cotes de Nuits Villages, Vieilles Vignes, Bourgogne, France; 2012 Cosse et Maisonneuve, Solis, Malbec, Cahors, France; and 2007 Chateau Dauphine Rondillon, Loupiac, France. Enjoy a four-course meal of French-inspired cuisine created by executive chef Juan Escamilla and paired beautifully with each featured wine.
