Grain Happy Hour
You will find this intimate whiskey bar that is owned by “Top Chef” alum Brooke Williamson, along with husband and chef Nick Roberts inside Playa Provisions in Playa del Rey. Grain is a great spot to enjoy an early evening cocktail and they just introduced a special Fri-Yay! promotion to celebrate the short workday at the end of the week. LA’s elevated American eatery has just introduced a new menu, Six Dollar Signatures, which offers exclusive dishes at an approachable price. Plan Check will serve one signature menu item for $6 for you to enjoy at lunch or an early dinner at the bar during the work week. The Six Dollar Signature menu also offers $2 off all draft beer and well cocktails along with the following discounted drinks from 12-7 pm each weekday: the S&L Old Fashioned made with rye whisky, botanical bitters, and orange zest peel ($6); the Tropical Daisy made with jalapeno-infused tequila and the choice of blood orange or mango ($6); and the Adulterated Soda made housemade yuzu, tangerine, vanilla cream, or lemon soda spiked with vodka ($8). Alfred will start pouring at its new tea room. Located downstairs from the Apartment by The Line and across from Moon Juice’s soon-to-arrive shop, the space will feature rose tiles, brass accents, and its own hashtag: #teayesyoumaybe. Eveleigh‘s Bar & Garden
They are launching their happy hour program called Bar & Garden! The program will include a curated menu of cocktails, wines, beers & bites that will be offered in the front bar and patio section. I mean it just fits. They will have a selection of signature cocktails for $8, wines on tap served in a carafe for $10, a bottled cocktail, can of Pop Gun Pilsner, and select menu items, including the following: Olives & Nuts ($5), Patatas Bravas ($6), Lamb Meatballs ($9), Spaghetti, Sugo, Pecorino ($12), Warm Wheatberry Salad ($8), and Eveleigh Burger Jr. ($12). Claudine Artisan Kitchen & Bakeshop Opens
The first restaurant from Valley natives Chef Anthony Jacquet and Pastry Chef Lea Newton has opened in Encino. Serving breakfast, lunch, weekend brunch and a variety of freshly baked and baked-to-order goods, the neighborhood restaurant uses sustainable and artisanal ingredients. Designed by Beleco, the space has blue-tones, crisp white subway tile, an open kitchen, and a blackboard wall, which displays an ever-changing graphic narrative by local artis,t Christopher Linquata. Claudine Artisan Kitchen & Bakeshop serves breakfast and brunch items like the Malted Milk Pancakes with cinnamon-berry compote, Salted honey butter, and warm maple syrup; Bacon, and ‘Verve” Braised Short Rib Hash with poached eggs, and Hollandaise sauce; along with lunch salads, bowls, sandwiches, grill items and dishes from the hearth oven. Highlights include the Marrakesh Market Bowl with ancient grains, Heirloom beets and market vegetables, pomegranate molasses, dried apricots, and harissa vinaigrette and Serrano Ham and Olive Naan with Fresno chili and oregano. Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village Hosts Monthly “In the Kitchen” Chef’s Table Dinner
Gather round Executive Chef Jesse Hansen’s dinner table at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. In the new monthly dinner series, aptly named “In the Kitchen” Chef’s Table, Chef Hansen features innovative, seasonal menus for an evening of culinary surprises and entertainment. Each month’s “In the Kitchen” Chef’s Table will feature an artisanal theme highlighting the best seasonal ingredients from hand-selected purveyors. The intimate dinner is limited to 24 guests and allows you to interact with Chef Hansen throughout the evening. The next “In the Kitchen” Chef’s Table dinner will highlight Olive Oil, and Chef Hansen sourced olive oil from artisanal, small batch olive oil producers from California and throughout the world.
