Angel City Brewery’s Holiday Ale Academy
Cheese? Yum. Chocolate? Hell yeah! Beer? Hooray! Attend Angel City Brewery’s Holiday Ale Academy and all will be revealed. Angel City’s experts Keith Ely and Dan Shapiro, along with Vagabond Cheese Co. and Dandelion Chocolate will guide you through an hour of tasting while they elaborate on just exactly why these pairings taste just right. Vagabond Cheese Co., a local cheese shop with a focus on beer pairings will be on hand with cheeses soft and hard, pungent and mild, stinky and sweet. Holidays on Vinyl at The Georgian Hotel
Through December, enjoy classic winter cocktails and holiday albums at The Georgian Hotel. Gather around the hotel’s classical trumpet horn phonograph and spin back the hands of time to the sounds of contemporary crooners and modern day musicians. The French Riviera-inspired dining destination, FIG & OLIVE is introducing Wine Down Mondays, a weekly promotion to start the workweek off right with complimentary corkage* as well as 20% off bottled wine up to $100 every Monday. FIG & OLIVE’s wine list has tastes unique to the coastal regions of Spain, Italy, and the South of France. Greatest Hits Menu at Terrine
To commemorate Terrine’s first anniversary, Partner/Chef Kris Morningstar, alongside Partners Stephane Bombet and François Renaud, will offer a prix fixe tasting menu of the restaurant’s most popular dishes. The six-course “Greatest Hits” menu includes blink-or-you’ll-miss-it dishes like Morningstar’s critically acclaimed Garbure with a traditional chabrot and indulgent Tournedos Rossini with foie gras and fresh black truffles. Wine Director and Managing Partner François Renaud will also suggest optional by-the-glass pairings from his French-centric wine list to best complement the restaurant’s signature dishes. Head Bartender Ryan Wainwright will also present a “Greatest Hits” menu of his own, resurfacing six of the most popular cocktails from throughout the year. Yalla Opens
The healthy Mediterranean fast-casual eatery is launching its first-ever Culver City location. Meaning “Let’s Go”, Yalla serves good-for-you food utilizing responsibly raised meats and wild-caught fish. The restaurant’s focus on sustainability and the freshest ingredients is also evident through an in-store herb wall and live lemon tree, which is incorporated into the cuisine as well as design of each restaurant. Featuring a patented, custom grill, the skewers are grilled-to-order allowing you to view the items sizzling and cooking along the customer line. The first stage in the ordering process is to choose your style of Pita Wrap, Chopped Salad (with either Power Greens or Fattoush), or The Yalla Plate with your choice of up to three sides ($8.50-$9.95). Secondly, select a protein, like the Steak Skewer with beef, olive oil, black pepper, harissa, and paprika; Salmon Skewer featuring wild salmon marinated in Greek yogurt and charmoula; or Falafel with Mediterranean GMO-free chickpea fritters. You can then add an individual seasonal side or sample any three Mediterranean side dishes, including Moroccan Carrot Salad, Greek Potato Salad, Turkish Slaw, and more. Celebrate Rock N’ Roll, Fashion & Art at Andaz West Hollywood

Bruxie Opens with Free Waffles & Coffee
Not just for breakfast anymore, the Belgian waffle has found a new home on the Santa Monica promenade. When Chefs and Co-Founders Dean Simon and Kelly Mullarney teamed up in 2010 to launch the first Bruxie in Old Towne Orange, they bred new life into an unexpected breakfast component. The Bruxie Classic Waffle Sandwiches includes the Buttermilk Fried Chicken topped with chili honey and cider slaw; the Buffalo Bleu Chicken with fried chicken, buffalo sauce, crisp vegetable slaw and bleu cheese crumble; and the California Pesto Chicken with goat cheese, arugula pesto, sun-dried tomatoes and arugula. There is also a Fried Chicken & Waffle Skillet that comes with buttermilk-fried chicken breast, chili honey, a Brussels waffle, maple butter and powdered sugar. As for Breakfast, traditional morning bites are served all day, like the Bacon, Egg & Cheddar with Applewood smoked bacon; Green Eggs & Ham; and the Smoked Salmon “Lox” topped with smoked salmon, dill cream cheese, cucumbers and chives. The Co-Founder Chef Favorites include a Stacked Hot Pastrami & Gruyere topped with Boar’s Head Pastrami, Gruyere, cider slaw, spicy brown mustard and a half-sour pickle and the Roasted Cremini Mushroom & Goat Cheese with basil spiked goat cheese, arugula, lemon vinaigrette and a balsamic reduction. There are also burgers, Waffle Cut Potato Fries, Cheesy Waffle Fries, Buffalo Waffle Fries, Irish Nachos, and sweets like Seasonal Crème Brulee, Nutella & Banana with sweet cream, Lemon Cream & Berries, Belgian Chocolate S’Mores and the PB&J.
