Angel City Brewery’s Hoppy Holidays
Sip great beer, shop locally and support Skid Row Housing and Trust with winter coat donations. The 7th Annual SANTA Monica Pub Crawl
More than 30 local bars and restaurants will come together to raise money for those in need through a partnership with the Westside Food Bank. The SANTA Monica Pub Crawl features four unique routes, all offering crawlers with wristbands food and drink specials like $3 beers, $5 wells and $5 shots as part of the festivities. Taste on Melrose Opens Atrium
The West Hollywood restaurant opens their new Atrium and Courtyard, doubling their dining space. Situated directly behind the current main dining room, the Atrium features a modern design from Designer John Wooden, in collaboration with EGCreate, a company from Taste on Melrose Owners. The space includes an open skylight, walnut tables and chairs, its own bar and kitchen, as well as a private entrance, creating a space for catered events. The menu from Executive Chef Brian Sheard and Cathy Shyne includes signature items like Cast Iron Roasted Chicken with roasted cauliflower, fingerling potatoes, black kale, chicken jus, and toasted ciabatta; 8 oz. Kobe Beef Burger with onion jam, organic arugula, and tomato, on a toasted brioche bun; and Rigatoni Bolognese with a slow-cooked, rich red meat sauce, Parmigiano, and Pecorino Romano. TS Gourmet Shoppe Opens
Ice hockey icon, and co-proprietor of Selanne Steak Tavern, Teemu Selanne, and his business partner Kevin Pratt, open their new TS Gourmet Shoppe. The Shoppe, which is located adjacent to Selanne Steak Tavern, is stocked with prime steaks and chops sustainably sourced from the United States, Australia and the Piedmont Region of Italy. All meats are cut-to-order by Chef Joshua Severson and his trained butchering team, allowing them to reduce wastage and provide the best quality cuts of the freshest meats at the time of purchase. Art of Tea
Learn how to blend, make and taste tea with SoCal native plants and drought-resistant plants at the Natural History Museum. La Dolce Vita Honors Frank Sinatra’s 100th Birthday
Sinatra, an original investor in La Dolce Vita, often frequented the landmark restaurant to enjoy his favorite Veal Milanese with his drink of choice, Jack Daniel’s. The evening’s “Come Dine with Me” three-course prix-fixe menu, from Executive Chef Alejandro Galan, will feature Frank Sinatra’s preferred dishes from La Dolce Vita including Clams Posillipo with Littleneck clams steamed with fresh tomato, garlic, and oregano; Veal Milanese with thin and crispy veal and fresh arugula checca; and more. To finish the dining experience, a Tiramisu dessert will be presented to each guest, complete with a lit candle, honoring Sinatra’s special day. As a nod to Frank’s favorite cocktail, dubbed the Gentlemen’s Drink, is an innovative twist on an Old Fashioned made with Jack Daniel’s rare Sinatra Select will be offered for $50. Corey Helford Gallery’s New DTLA Space
This weekend, they are kicking it off with a new art exhibit from Ron English, one of the most renowned contemporary American pop artists alive. The 22-piece exhibition titled NeoNature: We Are the New They has original oil paintings, sculptures, and two installations. It’s the first solo exhibition from English in LA in two years and runs through January 9th. After nine years in the Culver City Arts District, CHG will reopen its doors in a 12,000-square-foot building (it’s seven times larger than the original). With three separate galleries, each gallery will house individual artist and group exhibitions.
