Rushmore at The Palace Theatre

The Queen Mary Opens a New State-of-the-Art 4-D Theater
Replacing a decades-old theater located in the aft section, this 4-D Theater was designed by SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment in close collaboration with Queen Mary historians. The 121-seat theater delivers a high-definition viewing experience in 3-D with 7.1 digital audio surround sound and features a variety of sensory surprises that are built into the seats and theater environment. On-screen images are brought to life with coordinated 4-D effects such as bubbles, wind, and scents for a fully immersive cinematic experience. The Polar Express 4-D Experience® will run from Friday – January 10. Starting on January 11, the 4-D Theater will feature SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D: The Great Jelly Rescue and Planet Earth: Shallows Seas 4-D Experience®, along with a custom pre-show content featuring scenes from the many Hollywood films shot on and around the Queen Mary. Great Los Angeles Walk
The annual walk that goes against “nobody walks in L.A.,” takes over Olympic Boulevard for its 10th anniversary. L.A. has its sights on the 2024 Games, and the Walk is fully supporting it. The event kicks off at Clifton’s Cafeteria where Los Angeles Times architecture critic Christopher Hawthorne will discuss Olympic and the changing nature of L.A. streets. After touring Clifton’s, you’ll walk approximately 16 miles (at a casual pace) to the ocean, passing through downtown, Westlake, Koreatown, Hancock Park, Beverly Hills, Century City, Westwood, West Los Angeles and Santa Monica. Rodeo Drive Lighting Ceremony

Dog Haus Brings The Absolute Würst to USC
Dog Haus will open its 12th location outside of USC at University Park and to commemorate this, Haus will be serving up free Haus Dogs. Choose from a selection of seven signature hot dog creations featuring all-natural beef skinless dogs served on grilled King’s Hawaiian Rolls. Options include Sooo Cali, with arugula, tomato, crispy onions, spicy basil aioli and avocado; Downtown Dog, a smoked bacon wrapped dog topped with caramelized onions, roasted bell peppers, mayo, mustard, and ketchup; or The Cowboy, with white American cheese, smoked bacon, bbq sauce, and crispy onions. This location will also roll out breakfast, available daily from 7 am-11 am. Third Annual Stouts N Staches Fest
Celebrating the efforts of Movember supporters, Stouts N Staches Fest returns for its third year to bring together local businesses and members of the community to raise awareness for The Movember Foundation, a global charity raising funds and awareness for men’s health. Every November, the Foundation challenges men to grow and women to support a moustache or to make a commitment to get active for the month. Funds raised are invested in four key areas, prostate and testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity. Stouts N Staches is a block-party, where participating Venice Beach bars and restaurants offer craft beer and food specials to those with the wristband. Plus, those with the best moustache will have the chance to win a prize package. The event kicks off at Hotel Erwin with a Goose Island Beer Co. beer garden, free coffee by Bulletproof, free trims and styling, photo booth, stache contest, live music by Jack of Hearts and Brightside and more.
