The cozy craftsman cottage has all of your Turkey Day needs this holiday, as Executive Chef Tim Guiltinan is cooking up a family style Thanksgiving dinner. Start off with the Pecorino & Autumn Fruit Salad with arugula and walnut-honey dressing before choosing your entrée of Garlic & Black Pepper Prime Rib served with horseradish and au jus or the Organic Free Range Oven Roasted Turkey (white and dark meat). These dishes are accompanied by Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Candied Weiser Farm’s Yams with toasted marshmallows, Italian Sausage & Grilled Apple Stuffing, “The Classic” Bean Casserole, Traditional Rosemary Gravy and Cranberry & Cardamom Sauce. Take the Thanksgiving celebration beachside and dine in at the Venice Whaler. The seaside eatery has everything you need. Executive Chef Nick Liberato is cooking up a Cider Glazed Turkey Plate with lager gravy, roasted Brussels sprouts with capers and walnuts, cranberry sauce with rosemary and apple brioche stuffing ($18). Wally’s Beverly Hills Executive Chef David Feau will prepare a festive feast ready to take home and serve. A complete meal will be offered for $300 which serves up to 12 people and includes (1) 16 -18 lb turkey, green bean ragout, truffle mashed potatoes, pumpkin gratin, choice of vegetarian or meat stuffing, pan roasted Brussels sprout salad, along with gravy and cranberry sauce. You can also order the same meal with (1/2) 16 -18 lb turkey that serves up to six people for $180. Chef Feau will only be preparing 50 turkeys so these meals will go quickly and be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The annual community event brings everyone to Café Gratitude for a 100% organic holiday meal, will make its debut at the restaurant’s newest digs in the Arts District. This holiday season Umami Burger is bringing back a fan-favorite, The Holiday Bird! The Holiday Bird has the entire holiday meal in one Umami Burger. It’s made out of signature turkey patty, a cornbread stuffing patty, house-made turkey gravy, fresh ginger-cranberry chutney, spiced Japanese yams and is sprinkled with Umami-dusted fried sage. Umami Burger has also partnered nationally with Meals on Wheels. $1 from every Holiday Bird sold will be donated to Meals on Wheels America. The signature restaurant of The Beverly Hilton serves a modern interpretation of California cuisine with a market-fresh menu that is 95% locally sourced. The newly opened Beverly Hills restaurant from restaurateur Stephane Bombet and Executive Chef Michael Hung will present an all-day feast. The prix-fixe, family-style menu is available in the dining room, adjacent poolside cabanas, or from the comfort of adjoining hotel rooms. Turkey Trot Los Angeles 5K and 10K
Turkey Trot Los Angeles returns to DTLA on Thanksgiving morning, inviting runners ages two and up to participate in friendly competition and family fun for Turkey Day. Featuring 5K and 10K courses that start and finish in front of the City Hall, thousands of runners will be dressed in costumes of turkeys, pilgrims and pies will follow a scenic course through Bunker Hill and Spring St. passing by such sites as the new Broad Museum, Grand Park, Walt Disney Concert Hall and MOCA. Bring little ones for the “Widdle Wobble” (ages 2-12), which is a fun run around Grand Park and features a fantastic kid zone. Join in memorable photo opportunities with the 20 ft. tall turkey in front of the City Hall finish line. This event also offers a chance to give back to those in need. Participants are encouraged to donate time or money to The Midnight Mission, the official non-profit partner of Turkey Trot Los Angeles. Go Get Em Tiger‘s Version of Starbucks’ Holiday Drinks
It’s Thanksgiving, which means Go Get Em Tiger is bringing out the holiday-themed coffee beverages. Head to Larchmont Village for their take on popular Starbucks holiday drinks. Their latte is made with house made pumpkin spice syrup and you can order a mini pie made of a pumpkin spice tuile and kabocha squash whipped cream. You crack the pie to drop the cream into the drink, and enjoy an elevated take on the holiday favorite. They are also serving gingerbread lattes made with McConnell’s cardamom and gingersnap ice cream, peppermint mochas, eggnog lattes, and chestnut praline lattes. Besides bottomless brewed coffee, cider, and pies, nothing else from the regular menu will be available. They will also be serving them on New Year’s Eve.
