The 14th Annual Galbani® Cheese Italian Feast of San Gennaro
Inspired by the 80+ year old NYC tradition, the Feast celebrates Italian culture, entertainment and cuisine by featuring great food, music, genealogy research, free kid’s corner & petting zoo, pony rides, bocce, bingo, ferris wheel, games and more. Over thirty hours of live music and performances are scheduled throughout the weekend and special guest, Galbani Cheese’s very own Chef Marco will demonstrate Italian recipes and host a “Galbani Cheese Building Contest for Charity”. A “Gravy-Sauce Cooking Competition”, open to all levels of chefs, is a two-day contest full of favorite family recipes. This year, the Feast is affiliated with Christ the King Church,The Midnight Mission, a 501c3 charity that offers a path to self-sufficiency for men, women and children who have lost everything, PAL (Police Activities League), Uncle Frank Helping Hand Foundation, Be the Match registry and Cedars Sinai blood drive. Angel City Jazz Festival
LA’s only non-commercial jazz and new music festival was founded in 2008 by music promoter Rocco Somazzi. The 2015 festival is presented by Angel City Arts, a non-profit organization committed to cultivating and revitalizing jazz culture in Los Angeles by producing concerts by established and emerging music innovators who have achieved exceptionally high levels of musicianship and brought forward a significant contribution to the evolution of jazz and improvised music. The Angel City Jazz Festival features the most innovative and original national and international jazz musicians working today, balancing established jazz artists with emerging talent, and focusing on west coast creative jazz, past, present and future. This massive Venice festival, now in its 31st year, will feature over 300 vendors along Abbot Kinney Boulevard’s mile-long stretch. Sweet Rose Creamery’s Pop-Up
Venice’s Tortoise General Store, a boutique dedicated to introducing and exhibiting works by Japanese artists, is having their last Tortoise General Store pop-up. Executive Chef Shiho Yoshikawa, a Japanese native, will be offering made-from-scratch, market driven ice creams, and  house made almond milks part of this special collaboration. Enjoy single ($4) and double ($6) scoops of Japanese-inspired flavors like Matcha,Double Chestnuts (Chestnut ice cream with candied chestnuts), Pear Caramel, and Apple and Young Ginger Nigori Sorbet in house made Sesame and Vanilla cones ($1). Paramount Coffee Project Fairfax

Rave on Wheels with a night of roller skating, sexy electronic beats, and great vibes. TARFEST
LAUNCH LA and 88.5 FM KCSN present Los Angeles’ 13th annual music & arts festival, that will feature rising local artists, musicians and bands, with performances by Gavin Turek, The Shelters, Jessica Childress, Babes andSalt Petal. This year’s music program was curated by LAUNCH LA and Kevin Bronson of BuzzBand.LA and 88.5 FM KCSN. LAUNCH LA also presents the TARFEST Art Pavilion curated by Merry Karnowsky. Local artists Greg ‘Craola’ Simkins, Johnny ‘KMNDZ’ Rodriguez and Joseph Lee will be live painting. Special silent auction items and artwork will also be made available to the public. Proceeds from the art sales and silent auction will benefit future LAUNCH LA programming. New this year, Move The World – Dance Activism will perform in the park among the spectators between bands performances at 2:45 and 4:45. Free kids’ art-making activities will be presented by The Japan Foundation, Los Angeles, the Petersen Automotive Museum and Orchard Supply Hardware.
