EatISeeIHear closes out the 2015 season with three films. This Saturday, catch Reservoir Dogs at The Autry. Friday Flights hosted by 5 Every Day
5 Every Day hosts the next evening in the Friday Flights series in the courtyard of the Getty Center. Claire L. Evans and Jona Bechtolt of the band YACHT launched the app 5 Every Day, which lists a selection of five interesting things to do in Los Angeles each day. Tonight’s program features contributions from Bobby Birdman, Crying Music, an installation and a video premiere by YACHT, Jeffrey Brodsky, Johnny Pemberton, Kate Berlant, a video installation and DJ set by BODY HIGH Records, and Yung Jake. #BioBlitzLA
This summer, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHM) is asking you to send in pictures of L.A.’s plants and animals as part of #BioBlitzLA, a project to help scientists better understand the city’s nature and turn you into citizen scientists. The goal is to reach 10,000 submissions. To go along with the project, the NHM Citizen Science team is hosting a day of exploring and photographing L.A.’s wildlife! At the BioBlitz L.A. Meet-Up, get tips from NHM experts on taking nature photos and identifying local wildlife while exploring Exposition Park. Learn how to post photos and observations to the L.A. Nature Map to create data that scientists can use. Light refreshments will be provided.
