Free Workouts at Basecamp Fitness
Their West Hollywood flagship studio is opening in August, so they are giving away complimentary workouts at Pan Pacific Park (7600 Beverly Boulevard) every weekend, starting this weekend. Basecamp Fitness was developed by Zappos.com founder Nick Swinmurn and has locations in Burlingame, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Santa Monica. Breeze Restaurant’s Pop Up
Situated in Century City’s Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, this restaurant unveils a chic new pop-up restaurant. Breeze will undergo an interior and culinary transformation every six months and the first pop-up iteration for Breeze is Viento, a Pan-Latin inspired restaurant featuring mid-century modern design and tapas and fresh cocktails from Executive Chef Felix Nappoly’s culinary team. At night, the entire menu will shift to Viento’s Pan-Latin offerings including “Botanas” (small plates) such as Mini Duck Sopes; Duck Mole; and Pork Belly Torta Sliders. “Del Campo” (from the fields) offers salads like the vegan and gluten free Aztec Amaranth Salad and “Platillos” (large plates) include Chicken Mole, as well as the Tres Mejor Asada.” Postres” (desserts) feature Rompope Panna Cotta. The cocktail menu consists of fresh and modern Pan-Latin inspired libations, as well as prime Tequilas, Mezcal and Rum. Howlin’ Ray’s, the new food truck specializing in Nashville style hot chicken, is looking for a few brave contestants to enter their first ‘Hot Chicken Eating Challenge’ at King Harbor Brewery. The only rule during this challenge is simply to finish the chicken the fastest without any beverages. The winner will be rewarded with a growler of their choice from King Harbor along with some swag to take home (and knowing that they won). THE US GRANT Celebrates the Life of Sinatra
With Frank Sinatra’s iconic 100th birthday this year, THE US GRANT is launching a specially curated weekend, celebrating the life of Sinatra with a weekend of packages and performances. The weekend event with world-renowned actor and singer, Richard Shelton, accompanied by Sinatra’s original bandmates will take you through a walk down memory lane with the following nightly performances: Friday-Frank’s Way An unplugged evening of Sinatra’s greatest hits.
