American Cancer Society’s Birthday Ball
ACS will present its annual birthday ball on during National Cancer Survivors weekend hosted by Academy Award-winner Kathy Bates and a special performance by Katharine McPhee. For over 100 years, the American Cancer Society has led the fight to end cancer. 7th Annual Design-n-Dim Sum Bike Ride
Design east of La Brea (deLaB) holds its annual Design-n-Dim Sum Bike Ride. The daylong tour follows the L.A. River and will include stops at the Women’s Center for Creative Work; Clockshop, housed at the restaurant Elysian; and the former Hostess factory, recently transformed by Good Eggs into a headquarters for local food purveyors and distribution. The bike tour begins at 11 am sharp. A limited number of bikes are available to rent, and everyone is welcome to join the ride for free. Fantasia
Join Cinespia for a rare screening of the original 1940s masterpiece, Fantasia, followed by a screening of its newer cousin, Fantasia 2000. Eight animated sequences are set to music with imagery. Make Music Pasadena
