Wood Handcrafted Pizza, (2861 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026; 323.667.9940) located in the nook between Sunset and Silverlake Blvd. and fresh off their one year anniversary, is already making a name for itself in an area bustling with terrific restaurants. Don’t be fooled by Wood’s modern, sleek decor- it keeps it real when it comes to the food and incredibly imports seventy percent of their ingredients straight from Italy. With an authenticity not lost on its growing stable of regulars, Wood’s most popular dishes, like their Lamb Sausage pizza, with mozzarella and ricotta, and their crispy Brussels sprouts, marinated with pomegranate molasses, are must haves. All of their pizzas are Neapolitan style, and they have a selection of both white and red sauce.  They even have vegan options! Cheese lovers should try the Cavolo Nero and Pancetta, which features four different types of cheese including gorgonzola and topped with crispy panchetta.  Also, they are now serving delicious sandwiches made with their pizza dough as the bread.
