Darren’s of Manhatten Beach Partners with “The Macallan”
Chef/Owner Darren Weiss of Darren’s in Manhattan Beach will hold a exclusive tasting featuring a curated menu complimented by The Macallan brand of single malt Scotch. The 5-course dinner will feature a personalized and guided tasting and a house-made Cutty Sark Blood & Sand welcome cocktail. The evening will have four courses featuring dry aged beef tenderloin, pheasant, lamb belly and a decadent dessert, all paired with The Macallan: 10 Year Old Fine Oak, 15 Year Old Fine Oak, 12 Year Old Sherry Oak and 18 Year Old Sherry Oak Scotches. Día de Campo‘s March Madness

Rock & Brews El Segundo for March Madness
The rock-inspired, family-friendly restaurant plans to broadcast the Men’s 2015 NCAA Basketball Tournament games on multiple screens throughout the space and offer a “Sweet 16” appetizer platter and complimentary upgrades to 20 oz. Player’s Pints with the purchase of select 16 oz. draught pours during gameplay. The madness begins with the first tip-off on Tuesday and continues through the final buzzer of the National Championship game on Monday, April 6. Adding to the March Madness fun, Rock & Brews El Segundo will offer guests a chance to enter to win a signed basketball from Rock & Brews co-founders and KISS front men, Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley. Topping off the festivities, the restaurant will also host bracket competition of 64 breweries for guests to vote on throughout the month as the “Sweet 16”. Venice Whaler’s New Seasonal Cocktails

Live Read: Dazed and Confused

Melrose business Improvement District Announces MMP, a New Outdoor Mural Program
The Melrose Business Improvement District has joined forces with renowned artist and host of Oxygen Network’s Street Art Throwdown, Justin Bua to curate a new series of outdoor murals as part of “MMP: The Melrose Mural Project.” The BID will announce the new beautification program at a pop-up event that will feature BUA and many of the artists who will be part of the program including Slick, Annie Preece and Jules Muck (all of whom are currently appearing on Street Art Throwdown). BUA is assembling a team of world-class artists who will work with Melrose property owners to create a wide variety of pieces.
