Louis Vuitton—Series 2′

Executive Chef Mark Peel’s Pop-Up Dinners at Rascal
When Campanile closed in 2012, Angelenos were worried they wouldn’t be able to get founding Chef, Mark Peel, dishes. Now, after the recent announcement of Bombo, Peel’s new seafood driven spot slated to open in March 2015 in Grand Central Market, Chef Peel is giving you the chance to get a sneak peak of new dishes that may appear on the restaurant’s debut menu with a Pop-Up Dinner. Executive Chef Mark Peel will be cooking alongside Rascal’s Executive Chef Andy Lee, serving up an à la carte menu of potential Bombo entrees complimented by an array of appetizers and sides created by Chef Lee of Rascal. Dishes include Fish and Chips with Alaskan cod and steak fries, served with spicy vinegar and a cucumber yogurt dressing; Seared Marinated Tofu with a spicy vegan ragout of Napa cabbage, dried mushrooms, kombu, pickled garlic and radishes, served with scallion oil; Chicken Salad with eggplant, dried apricot, pecans, kabocha squash, roasted onion, potato, arugula and oregano vinaigrette; and the Chopped Salad with iceberg lettuce, red cabbage, marinated tofu, broccoli, Napa cabbage, chickpeas, picked carrots, red onion and oregano vinaigrette. Tuesday, 5-10 pm; 801 S. Kendall’s Brasserie and Bar’“Passport to France”
This is a nightly dinner series exploring the tastes and flavors of Basque, Provence, and Lyon, France. Lyon-raised Executive Chef Jean Pierre Bosc is proud to present menus that salute his native country. Travel to the Basque region with dishes like the Baked Sea Bass Persillade with Bell Pepper Basquaise, and Coco Beans Ragout with Chorizo. In March, enjoy Provencal fare with Roasted Lamb Loin with Basted Tapenade, Artichokes Barigoule, and Fava Beans. The Independence Opens
Owner Jonathan Chu has taken his old space (buddha’s Belly) and turn it into the bright and airy space named after the railroad that once traveled our City back in 1875. Tom Block (BLT Steak, Allen & Delancy, Beelman’s Pub) is behind the menu, so expect dishes like chicken wings with salsa verde dry-aged rib eye with wild mushrooms, and a burger with gruyere and caramelized onions, and shellfish stew with clams. Vincenzo Marianella is preparing cocktails like the Longshore, made with bourbon, port syrup, lemon, egg white, and bitters; and the Last Stop with scotch, grappa, amart averna, coffee, and whipped cream. solita Tacos & Margaritas Valencia Hosts Fundraiser To Benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Clarita Valley
To celebrate the official grand opening of their new Valencia location, solita Tacos & Margaritas is throwing a celebration that will highlight both their authentic cuisine and delicious cocktails, while also supporting the benefitting charity, the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley. Enjoy complimentary eats all night long (drinks will be for sale) and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley, an organization offering education, leadership, sports and arts programs to needy youth in the area. RED Party
Three Day Rule has teamed up with the American Heart Association to host a RED party in honor of National Wear Red Day. There will be an open bar, a DJ, and 100% of proceeds going to charity.
