Rockin’ the Red Bar II

CAFE del REY is having their second annual Rockin’ the Red Bar II cocktail competition in honor of Go Red for Women, a chapter of the American Heart Association. To help raise awareness about American Heart Health Month, Tony P’s Dockside Grill, Marina Grill & Bar at the Hilton Garden, Beachside Restaurant and Bar at the Jamaica Bay Inn, Whiskey Red’s, Hal’s Bar & Grill, and the Warehouse Restaurant will join CAFE del REY to compete for the best red-hued drink featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka and seasonal ingredients. Enjoy an unlimited sampling of the contending libations and the chance to vote for your favorite cocktail of the evening. To complement the cocktails, CAFÉ del REY’S Executive Chef Chuck Abair will create a sampling of Mediterraneaninspired hors d’oeuvres like: Cobia Ceviche with tomato, bell pepper, avocado, and papaya; Salmon Tartare with red wine gelée and arugula; Eggplant Hummus with cilantro served alongside pita chips; and Grilled Tofu with tangerine and spinach.

Additional menu specials served in the main dining room for dinner service include: Sea Bass with baby carrots, asparagus, sweet potatoes, and cippolini onions ($29) and Grilled Bison with black beans, broccolini, walnuts, and red wine sauce ($37).
