Red O Heading to Santa Monica

Red O (101 Broadway, Santa Monica, 90401), the modern Mexican restaurant on Melrose from Chicago’s Rick Bayless is taking over Ma’Kai Lounge in Santa Monica. Thomas Schoos, the designer behind Herringbone at the Mondrian, is also behind the look and feel of Red O in Santa Monica. Expect a wood trellis made from reclaimed cedar and planter boxes made from weathered IPE wood.  They will also have a glass patio rail and interior fireplaces.
