Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills celebrates French vintners, September 23rd – 29th. The program is dedicated to the wine harvest each September, a French tradition called “vendanges.”
Tonight, from 7 – 9 pm, Sofitel Los Angeles French Wine week will kick off with a private opening reception in Riviera 31 Bar | Lounge with live performances by “Paris Chansons” and “Cabaret Versatile,” exclusive wine flights, happy hour, and food pairings created by Executive Chef Marius Blin. In Estérel restaurant, a Mediterranean spread, there’s new menu each night complementing the wines, beginning with Champagne, then Bordeaux, and continuing with Burgundy, Cote du Rhone, and Sancerre. Menu items include California Oyster and Yellowtail, Petite Radish Salad, Fleur de Sel; a Crab Claw Salad with Frisée, Shaved Asparagus, Red Endive and Chive with White Wine Vinaigrette, as well as, Raviole de Royan, Crème of Garlic and Sautéed Chanterelle Mushroom. On September 29th, Estérel restaurant will have a brunch from 6:30 am – noon.
Each day from Monday-Sunday, a Sofitel sommelier will be on hand to guide you through the many wine-producing regions and favorite locales of France including Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Cote du Rhone, Sancerre and more. Visit Riviera 31 for wine tastings from 6 – 9 pm. ($6-9 a glass) and Estérel restaurant from 5:30 – 10 pm for wine pairing menus, events, and more (prices are á la carte).
