Pingtung

Pingtung, (7455 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, 90046; 323.866.1866) is a new Asian fusion cafe and market on Melrose which soft opens yesterday. Owner Li Ping of NYC’s Khin Khao, Kelley & Ping, Obeca Li, and Lozoo is now taking on the west coast with an affordably priced small plate menu off dumplings, banh mi, ramen, and other mixed Asian dishes from Taiwan, China, Vietnam, and Japan. They also serve beer, wine, and sake and dine-in patrons can purchase alcohol, spices, and snacks to take home. Here is the drink menu. Open Tuesday-Sunday from 11:30 am-10:30 pm.
